As I write this on Monday, June 30, 2025, I can’t shake the frustration I feel watching Donald Trump’s second presidency tear the world apart. I’ve been lucky to travel to more than 50 countries and work with some great people around the world.
But Trump’s tariffs cripple economies, his deportations rip families apart, and his alliances with autocrats like Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orbán deepen global divides.
I believe we need a World Without Trump Summit - Creating Project 2029 for Reuniting the World, a real online and in-person event to unite people from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Hungary, the UK, Mexico, Canada, and beyond.
But why Toronto? Is there a need, interest, and purpose in making it the heart of this movement? The establishment, mainstream media and political elites, shrugs off his impact as temporary, but I see a chance to build something better by 2029. Let me explain why this summit matters, and why Toronto could be the place to start.

Why I See the Need
Trump’s policies hit hard. His 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico threaten jobs, while his Alien Enemies Act deported 238 Venezuelans to El Salvador’s brutal Cecot prison. His refusal to fund Ukraine, cheered by Orbán, emboldens Russia, and his support for Israel’s far-right, like Itamar Ben-Gvir, fuels unrest. To me, this isn’t just politics, it’s a global wound that demands healing. The establishment calls it business as usual, but I disagree. A summit could launch Project 2029, a four-year plan to reunite the world. Toronto, with its border proximity to the U.S. and diverse 250+ ethnic communities, feels like a natural choice. But do we really need it there? I think yes, if it can leverage that diversity to bridge divides.
My Case for Toronto: Interest and Purpose
I’ve been thinking hard about why Toronto should host the World Without Trump Summit - Creating Project 2029 for Reuniting the World, with a proposed date of May 2026, with virtual and in-person hubs. Its multiculturalism mirrors the global coalition I envision. Charlie Angus, a retiring NDP MP I admire and guest on MUCK YOU!, could lead from Toronto, using his The Resistance platform to rally Canadians. But is there interest? The city’s Ukrainian community, over 40,000 strong, might jump at the chance to support Kyiv’s fight. Its Jewish population, around 180,000, could engage Israeli democrats resisting Trump’s far-right allies. The Latino diaspora, over 100,000, might connect with Mexican families battling deportations. I wonder if this interest could turn Toronto into a purpose-driven hub, a place to strategize Project 2029’s goals, like trade recovery, human rights, and democracy.
Here’s how I see the groups fitting in, and whether Toronto can unite them:
Russians Against Trump: Dissidents like Vladimir Kara-Murza, jailed for opposing Putin, and Alexei Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation could challenge Trump’s pro-Putin stance. Would Toronto’s safety draw them to lead panels on democratic alliances?
Ukrainians Against Trump: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s team, with 59% U.S. support, could counter Trump’s Ukraine narrative. Could Toronto’s Ukrainian roots host their peace workshops?
Israelis Against Trump: Yair Lapid and anti-Netanyahu protesters, with 60% opposing Trump’s Ben-Gvir support, might push for stability. Would Toronto’s Jewish community fuel their sessions?
Orbán’s Opponents in Hungary: Péter Magyar’s Tisza Party, with 29% in 2024 EU elections, resists Orbán’s autocracy. Could Toronto’s activist networks back their democracy talks?
UK Labour Party: Keir Starmer’s Labour, resisting Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, could share 2024 transatlantic lessons. Should Toronto complement their London hub?
Immigrant Families in Mexico: Tijuana and Ciudad Juárez communities fighting deportations could share stories. Might Toronto’s Latino population justify a focus there?
Charlie Angus in Canada: Angus’s critiques of Trump’s sovereignty threats inspire me. Is his Toronto leadership the key need?
Global Voices: Germany’s SPD, Brazil’s Lula da Silva, India’s Rahul Gandhi, and Australia’s Anthony Albanese could join virtually. Would Toronto’s connectivity draw their input?
"Toronto could be the heartbeat of a world reunited by 2029."

My Vision for the Summit
I imagine a hybrid event with Zoom sessions and hubs in Toronto, London, Mexico City, and Budapest. Online, it’ll use X and YouTube, with encryption and translations in Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Hungarian, Spanish, and more. In-person, Toronto’s community centers could host, with security learned from the 2025 Principles First Summit’s bomb threat. Funding via GoFundMe and NGOs like Amnesty International would keep it independent. The agenda? Keynotes from leaders like Zelenskyy and Angus, workshops on trade and rights, networking for coalitions, and Project 2029 blueprints. But does Toronto have the infrastructure and will to make this work?

My Hope for 2029
I refuse to let Trump’s division define us. The establishment sees his legacy as permanent, but I see Project 2029 reuniting the world, with Toronto as a possible epicenter. Russians, Ukrainians, Israelis, Hungarians, can Toronto lead us? I say yes. Organize, resist, act. The World Without Trump Summit starts with your support.

I believe this is an excellent project to bring the world back together. Bravo!
The title alone reminiscent of Project 2025 suggests more death and destruction for power and glory when you could, if you wanted, help halt the navel gazing that got us here. Read Kwiatkowski for what's in store from political profiteers of all stripes. Ending our illegal undeclared wars, closing foreign bases, cutting the military budget to defending homeland soil, and using those public funds for desperately needed public services (for US) would shift from criminality toward abiding by laws and showing some humanity if only toward our own citizens.
Has no one told you Israel in Occupied Palestine has no legal right to defend itself? Not breaking ties with Israel is law breaking. In fact, what obligation has the USA made with the world to the world for the world that it hasn't broken? Why have you never heard of steady state economy, circular production, system theory, or doughnut economics? There are ways of being in the world not seeking to destroy it. Wake. Up. And start an AA for Aggressors.
