I’ve been slogging through the political swamp for years and digging up dirt, exposing frauds, and throwing punches. As Co-Founder of American Muckrakers, I helped take down Madison Cawthorn and put Lauren Boebert on the ropes. Our strategy is brutal and simple: use their own lies against them, no fluff, just facts. They call us “brass knuckle” Democrats, and I wear that label like a medal. When the other side fights dirty, you don’t win by playing polite. Or as Colonel Moe Davis, my Co-Founder, Co-Host on MUCK YOU!, and candidate for NC 11 Congress says, “Democrats bring a quinoa salad to a knife fight.”
With Donald Trump back in the White House, I’m burning with a question:
What does a revolution against him look like?
Not a hashtag or a protest that fades by dawn but a relentless, in-the-streets, in-their-faces revolt to hold him accountable and dismantle his chaos. I’m talking strikes, marches, parades, comedy that cuts deep, digital warfare, and backing winners, not whiners. I’m ready to light this fuse. Who’s with me?
What a Revolution Looks Like
Trump’s power isn’t bulletproof. It’s a house of cards that includes lies, sycophants, and a propaganda machine that thrives on distraction. A revolution doesn’t mimic his chaos; it cuts through with precision and guts. Here’s the plan:
Truth as a Weapon
At American Muckrakers, we’ve shown that nothing hurts a liar like their own record. Trump’s got decades of shady deals, broken promises, and lies that collapse under scrutiny. We need researchers, journalists, and everyday folks digging into his administration’s every move on every policy, every donor, every grift. Then we amplify it: on Muck You!, social media, even billboards. The goal? Make his lies louder than his voice, reaching the voters who bought his “outsider” con.National Strikes to Paralyze the System
Let’s hit hard. Picture teachers shutting down schools, nurses walking out of hospitals, and veterans halting VA services. A coordinated national strike could grind the economy to a halt and force Trump to flinch. History proves it: the 1968 French strike with 11 million workers nearly toppled a government, and the 1989 Czechoslovakia strike helped end communism. Veterans are already mobilizing with 20,000 expected in D.C. this month against VA cuts, while nurses protest staff shortages. Let’s fuse these into a general strike that screams, “Enough!” If you’re ready to walk out, we need you.Marches with Military Discipline
Imagine thousands of veterans, firefighters, cops, pastors, teachers, and nurses marching in lockstep, flags high, led by the precision of military vets. These aren’t scattered protests, they’re a disciplined show of force, demanding accountability. Recent veteran rallies, with 200 planned nationwide, prove it’s doable. We scale up, city by city, showing Trump’s MAGA machine we’re organized and unyielding just like the “No Kings” rallies.“I’m an Immigrant” Parades
Trump’s immigration raids are spreading fear and breaking families. We hit back with nationwide parades, snare drums thundering, banners proclaiming “I’m an Immigrant.” These are celebrations of the people who built America, from Ellis Island to now. Immigrants, vets, teachers, nurses, and allies march together, drums echoing, defying Trump’s hate with pride and unity. Timed for maximum impact, these parades show America’s heart is bigger than his walls. Aren’t we all immigrants anyway? Grab a drum and join us.Weekly Comedy Show to Roast Trump
Laughter cuts deeper than lectures. Let’s launch a national weekly comedy show - Trump’s Folly or Trump Sucks - featuring top comedians ripping into his lies, gaffes, and grifts. Think The Daily Show meets Muck You!, broadcast online and at live events, with comics turning Trump’s bluster into punchlines. This isn’t just entertainment; it’s a weapon to mock his cult of personality and win hearts. Recent posts on X show comedians already taking shots, let’s give them a stage. If you’re a comic or producer, let’s make this happen.Bot Farms for Truth
Trump’s lies spread like wildfire through bot farms and troll networks. We fight fire with fire by building our own digital army to flood the internet with facts. These aren’t fake accounts; they’re automated tools amplifying verified exposés from American Muckrakers and others. Imagine bots countering every Trump tweet with data on his tariff price hikes or immigration cruelty. It’s legal if done transparently, and tech experts can make it scale. If you’re a coder or digital strategist, we need your brain.Fund Winnable Candidates
Vanity candidates running hate-fueled campaigns against MAGA clowns like Marjorie Taylor Greene waste our time. We need to fund fighters who can win with smart, principled Democrats or independents who can flip seats in winnable districts. American Muckrakers has backed strategic campaigns before; now we double down, raising cash for candidates with real shot, not just grudges. Why don’t we find a Congressional seat for Adam Kinzinger or Joe Walsh? They’re Democrats now. If you’re a donor or know a rising star, let’s talk.Legal Firepower
Trump’s dodged accountability, but we can bury him in court. We need aggressive lawyers filing lawsuits, demanding transparency, and hitting his allies with ethics complaints. We’ve fought Boebert in court; now picture that against Trump’s cronies. Strikes, marches, and bot farms will face legal pushback like strike bans or defamation suits, so we need attorneys ready to swing. If you’re a lawyer, step up.Economic Pressure
Trump’s empire of hotels, golf courses, brands runs on money. We hit him with boycotts, divestments, and campaigns targeting his business allies. We exposed Cawthorn’s crypto scams; now imagine that for every company backing Trump. Consumers have power—let’s wield it.
Why Now?
Trump’s second term is a wrecking ball. His tariffs are spiking prices, his FEMA threats are endangering lives, and his immigration raids are tearing communities apart. The 2016 “resistance” hashtags and Mueller reports failed to stop him. He’s back because too many checked out or fell for his shtick. Apathy isn’t an option.
I’ve seen what works. We took down Cawthorn by exposing his lies. We rattled Boebert’s cage. We helped fire “NudeAfrica” Mark Robinson. Trump’s a bigger beast, but he’s not untouchable. He thrives on chaos, but chaos falls to focus. This revolution with strikes, marches, parades, comedy, bots, and smart candidates, is that focus.
The Fight We’re Up Against
This is no cakewalk. Strikes face legal barriers, like the 1926 UK strike crushed despite 1.7 million workers striking. Marches and parades need discipline to avoid violence; veterans can lead, but it takes planning. Bot farms must be transparent to stay legal, per FEC rules. Funding candidates means picking battles wisely, not chasing lost causes. Public support is critical, vets, teachers, nurses, and immigrants have sympathy, but we need to keep the narrative sharp against MAGA spin. American Muckrakers has faced lawsuits and threats; we’re battle-tested, but we need numbers and money.
Who’s With Me?
This fight takes guts, cash, and time. American Muckrakers runs lean—$265,000 raised in 2021-2022, every penny spent exposing the worst. We’ve stared down smears and kept swinging. I’ve been in this since my Obama advance days, and I’m not stopping. But I need a damn army.
Here’s the call:
Join American Muckrakers. Go to our donation link here and sign up. Donate—$25 keeps us fighting.
Get organizing. Start a strike committee, plan a march, lead an “I’m an Immigrant” parade, or pitch a comedy show. Share Muck You! to spread the word.
Bring your skills. Comedians, coders, lawyers, fundraisers, drummers—we need you. Email me at david@americanmuckrakers.com or hit me here on Substack.
Stay loud. Post, tweet, march. Use #MuckTrump and #ImAnImmigrant to make this viral.
This isn’t about “going high” when they go low. It’s about fighting fire with fire, facts, laughs, and relentless pressure. I’m an Iowa kid with three North Carolina/Puerto Rican kids who believes the truth still matters, from exposing Cawthorn to marching for immigrants. Let’s prove it.
Who’s ready to strike, laugh, and rake some muck?

While I have voted in every national and state election since reaching 18 (50+ years ago), I've never registered as a Democrat nor Republican. I have tried to vote for the person, not the party that I thought had our state/country's best interest at heart and voted for both parties and independents over the decades and never a straight ticket, until Trump.
Since 2016, I've tried to understand what his supporters see, like, support in his messaging. Talk to 5 and get 5 different reasons though with some commonality. He has made their prejudices 'OK', given voice to their fears, made some feel 'seen' and even if they may admit that he is rude, crass - whatever, they also seem to like that he says what they can not.
As to your poll, I would suggest another option - one longer term. Your first 4 are too short term, narrowly focused. Those we need to reach are those that do not go nor will participate in those type of events and will ignore that messaging. In some cases, those events may hurt more than help (strike).
Similar to your bot farm idea, find common sense counterpoints that are continually updated as Trump does his daily stupidity. Place these in multiple domains and interface with others doing the same (there are many). BUT - few (if any) seem to be getting any traction because we are not getting the message in front of those that need to hear it - those who voted from Trump. They don't want to be preached at nor educated, in many cases they are looking for entertainment and validation. Perhaps grade/label his daily gyrations with a MAGAnometer scale. From 0 to Hold my Beer, something that brings a little humor to the crazy.
How to reach them - YouTube, TikTok, Podcasts - the media they use. One mention on Joe Rogan and you get more traction than all of the No Kings coverage combined. Look at what Mamdami was able to accomplish in NYC, mostly by himself on a shoe string budget.
Attacking Trump is easy, fun and even entertaining for 'us', but it is more likely to alienate not resonate with those we need to reach.
Protests like No Kings may make us feel good for a hot minute (I was in downtown Asheville with my wife and son), but the endorphines quickly wear off and the media moves on.
Until the Dems stop gathering around the campfire singing kum-ba-yah into an echo chamber and trying to be all things to all people, they will continue to get their asses handed to them.
Just my 2cents.

THERE ARE 6.34 MILLION MALES OVER EIGHTY, 39% ARE REGISTERED DEMOCRATS, OR 2.45 MILLION. MANY ARE MOBILE BUT TERMINAL. IF JUST 10% TOOK THEIR GUN AND KILLED ONE HOMELAND SECURITY OR IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCE AGENT, ALL AGENTS WOULD BE DEAD. IT IS SOMETHING THE JEWS FAILED TO FIGURE OUT DURING WWII, PROBABLY SO WILL AMERICANS, BECAUSE THERE IS NO MEDIA WILLING TO BROADCAST THIS
