NC Supreme Court Is Lost to the GOP - Give It Up.

Why not declare the seat stolen now and prepare for 2026 when the environment should be ripe for Democrats?

I’ve met North Carolina Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Allison Riggs. We shared the stage dozens of times when I ran for NC Commissioner of Insurance in 2023 and 2024, and was duly impressed. She has a fantastic husband too. Justice Riggs won her primary decisively; I got smoked by a stronger candidate.

Justice Riggs is an exceptional person—an ethical, honest lawyer and jurist. I have immense respect for her. She always treated me and my kids with kindness. She earned her Supreme Court seat by working tirelessly, attending hundreds of events across North Carolina, and fighting for every single vote.

But is her seat worth the time, effort, and money Democrats are pouring into defending it? I’ve heard through the grapevine NC Democratic Party has spent over $2 million in legal fees to stop the GOP from stealing this critical office.
