Hakeem Jeffries Should Meet with Elon Musk Today
This is war. Democrats, do you want to win or be right all the damn time?
“Politics is the art of the possible. What did you get by opposing the motion? It was carried with or without you; all you did was make enemies. And, make yourself feel better, of course.” — Benjamin Franklin
Hakeem Jeffries needs to win the House in 2026. To pull it off, he should meet Elon Musk today. Not to debate ideology, not as the only strategy, not to bow down, but to outsmart the GOP and grab the gavel. This is about power, not purity. Democrats, it’s time to ask yourselves: do you want to win, or do you want to be right all the damn time?
The Stakes: Four Seats
Flipping the House means picking up four seats in swing districts where voters care about jobs, culture clashes, and whoever’s screaming loudest on X. Musk, with his obscene wealth and 200 million followers, is that megaphone. His posts shape narratives that ripple into cable news, group chats, and barstool rants. Ignore him, and he’s a GOP weapon. Play with him, and he’s a tool to win.
The Opportunity: Musk’s GOP War
Musk is shredding the GOP’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” a Trump-endorsed policy pile he’s called a “disgusting abomination.” He’s threatening to fund primaries against Republicans who backed it and even teasing an “America Party” to blow up the status quo. This is a GOP fault line, and Jeffries, a pro at exploiting cracks, can split it wide open. Meeting Musk tells swing voters and moderates that Democrats are practical, not preachy. It hijacks Musk’s outsider energy without swallowing his ideas. And, anyone that really believes he likes Trump or his cabal of losers isn’t paying attention. Musk is looking for an indentity and he’s more liberal than he’ll even let on in public.
The Play: Optics and Edge
Jeffries sits with Musk, hears his gripes about government bloat, and nods. No promises, no sellout, just a seed planted: Democrats can handle bold ideas, unlike the GOP’s budget trainwreck. The optics have Jeffries facing the world’s richest man scream strength and shred the “stuffy Democrat” stereotype. If Musk echoes even a hint of Democratic talking points, like jobs or infrastructure, it’s a free billboard in districts where every vote’s a brawl. If he pushes a third party, Jeffries can fan the flames, knowing it’ll bleed Republican votes in tight races.
The Risks: Progressive Tantrums
The far left will lose their minds. They’ll scream betrayal, citing Musk’s libertarian bent or his potshots at Democrats. Boo fucking hoo. The far left called President Joe Biden, “Genocide Joe”, and siphoned votes in 2024, from VP Harris. Seriously, fuck them. I share James Carvile’s suggestion that the far left crowd can go start their own party. Rep. Jeffries already sidestepped endorsing Zohran Mamdani, the socialist NYC mayoral candidate, without tanking his base. He’s not chasing applause from the terminally online; he’s chasing Congress. If a Musk meeting loses a few purists but flips 5,000 votes in Michigan or Nevada, who cares.
The Bottom Line: Win Now, Sort It Later
This isn’t about Musk’s beliefs or endgame. It’s about 2026. Win the House, and Democrats can block Trump’s agenda, fire up investigations, and pave the way for 2028. Then they can deal with Musk or outmaneuver him, ignore him, whatever. But first, they need the gavel. Jeffries gets that politics is the art of the possible. Meeting Musk isn’t just possible, it’s critical.
Democrats, choose: clutch your pearls and stay “right,” or get dirty and win.
Hakeem, make the call. Grab the damn House. Go meet with Elon today.

He's not objecting to the Big Ugly Bill because it's inhumane - he wants it to be even more inhumane. In this case, the enemy of my enemy is even more of an enemy. "Stay away" seems like a reasonable conclusion: he's not trying to help us.
Play hardball without him. His money and “values” are filthy. Musk is already shredding the cult. Don’t ask him to play with us. His money comes with expectations that will undermine us. I will not $upport a candidate wearing a Musk label.
