From Shooters Grill to Shooters’ Living Room

Some stories require months of investigation. Others arrive fully assembled; with matching end tables.

First, the public-record gem: a Notice of Lien of Unpaid Taxes against Shooters Diner LLC, recorded August 25, 2023, listing $12,500.65 and the Colorado Department of Revenue. I hope the State of Colorado Dept of Revenue garnishes her Congressional salary to satisfy this lien.

Then comes this Facebook Marketplace listing from Jayson Boebert: an entire black reclining living-room set, including a couch, loveseat, recliner and end tables—offered for $200, reduced from $750. Can you imagine what that furniture smells like and has seen! Maybe JD would like the couch?

But taken together, they produce a distinctly Boebert-era tableau: unpaid taxes in the public record, deeply discounted furniture on Facebook and a once-loud political brand quietly ending up on the virtual curb.

The listing is now marked “Out of Stock.”

Apparently, somebody finally found a bargain in the Boebert economy.
